These locking, expanding banana plug connectors are manufactured with a removable threaded sleeve that's wrapped in real carbon fiber for modern appeal and character. A color-coded ring offers quick polarity identification.
Milled from solid brass and plated with 24 karat gold, to provide a long lifetime of service free of oxidation, each connector features two flat-head screws, beneath the removable sleeve, to create a gas-free connection between your speaker wire and the connector.
Integral to the design of these banana plugs is a central spike, driven by the shell portion of the connector, which spreads the banana plug tines. This action firmly locks the banana plug into 5-way binding posts and banana jacks for a worry-free connection. Accepts up to 8 AWG wire. Note: When using high-strand cable, tinned leads will provide the greatest retention by the set screws. Clear nylon is placed beneath the two screws to secure them during shipping. Please remove prior to use. The knurled portion of this connector is for connector insertion only, please do not try to use it to remove the carbon fiber sleeve.
