The Amplimo 40PP4K0S is designed for push-pull tube amplifiers where a compact toroidal output transformer with wide bandwidth is required. With a 4,000 Ω primary impedance and secondary taps for 0, 4 and 8 Ω, it supports common loudspeaker load configurations while keeping the output connection flexible.
Performance is centred on broad frequency handling and stable output capability. The transformer reaches a -3 dB bandwidth of 7 Hz to 130 kHz at 1 mW, while its 40 W power bandwidth starts at 28 Hz. This makes it a strong choice among specialist audio components for tube amplifier projects that demand extended bandwidth from the output stage.
The primary side includes 35% UL taps for ultra-linear operation. Electrical parameters include 750 H primary inductance, 8 mH primary leakage inductance, 350 pF primary capacitance and 75 Ω primary DC resistance. The secondary DC resistance is 115 mΩ on the 4 Ω tap and 250 mΩ on the 8 Ω tap.
The transformer measures 93 mm in outside diameter by 49 mm in height and weighs 1.2 kg. Mounting is handled with the included toroidal clamp and washers. Use only one secondary tap at a time when wiring the 4 Ω or 8 Ω output.
