The SMSL AO300 Pro is designed as a compact centrepiece for modern home audio systems, combining DAC functionality with a powerful digital amplifier stage. Its Infineon high-power amplifier chip is built for efficient operation, delivering strong performance while keeping energy consumption low.
Digital playback is handled by a Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC chip and a third-generation XMOS XU-316 processor. The AO300 Pro supports PCM audio up to 32-bit/768 kHz, DSD up to DSD256 and MQA decoding, making it a capable choice among desktop and hi-fi DAC converters.
Wireless listening is also well covered, with Bluetooth support for LDAC, aptX/HD, SBC and AAC. Volume is managed by the JRC NJW1194 electronic control chip, selected for accurate adjustment and ultra-low distortion, giving the unit precise day-to-day usability alongside its high-resolution digital input capabilities.
The AO300 Pro is finished with a CNC-machined aluminium alloy panel and anodised surface treatment for a clean, durable feel. Gold-plated input and output terminals, audiophile-grade components, overheating and overcurrent protection circuits, a built-in high-power switching power supply and a full-function remote control make it a versatile option in the amplifiers category.
