The SMSL A8 is a multifunctional amplifier meaning that it has a built-in DAC, phono preamplifier and headphone amplifier that can be used independently and simultaneously. For these applications the most recent technologies and components are used such as alow jitter clock system, DSD supported decoding and XMOS decoding, performed by the AKM AK4490 chip amplified by the ICEpower 125ASX2 and TI TPA6120A2 amplifier chips. All of these modules function independently granting minimal interference and incredibly low distortion ratings.
