The Amplimo 100PP2K5H is designed as a wide-bandwidth toroidal output transformer for high-end audio components. Its 2.5 kΩ primary impedance and 100 W nominal power rating make it suitable for demanding push-pull output stages where strong bandwidth and robust construction are required.
On the secondary side, the transformer provides 0, 4 Ω and 8 Ω connections, with turns ratios of 25 for 4 Ω and 17.7 for 8 Ω. Only one secondary tap should be used at a time. For compatible amplifiers, the 35% ultra-linear taps add further configuration flexibility.
Performance specifications include a -3 dB frequency bandwidth of 5 Hz to 125 kHz and a power bandwidth starting at 30 Hz. The transformer has a primary inductance of 813 H, primary leakage inductance of 2.7 mH, primary capacitance of 670 pF, and a primary DC resistance of 65 Ω.
The 100PP2K5H is potted in a black textured aluminium shell and measures 144 mm in diameter by 74 mm high. It mounts with an M8 x 20 centre bolt, weighs 3.8 kg, and uses 200 mm leads. The three white wires must always be connected together, the two black wires must always be connected together, and unused ultra-linear leads should be carefully insulated with heat shrink.
