The Amplimo 4N1885 is designed for tube amplifier power supplies that require a high-voltage secondary and dedicated heater windings. Its secondary configuration provides 0-250 V-275 V at 300 mA, where only one high-voltage tap is used at a time, together with two 6.3 V windings at 2.5 A and a 50 V winding at 0.1 A.
The dual 115 V primaries allow wiring for both 115 V and 230 V mains operation. For 230 V use, the primaries are connected in series; for 115 V use, they are connected in parallel. All voltages are specified under full ohmic load, with regulation of 10.5% and 8% on the 50 V winding.
The transformer has a 92 mm diameter, 52 mm height and a weight of 1.5 kg, measured without mounting materials. All leads are solid and approximately 200 mm long. Supplied mounting hardware includes one 70 mm metal washer, two 70 mm neoprene washers and an M5 x 55 bolt with nut for secure installation.
The 4N1885 is built for 50 Hz and 60 Hz operation and is supplied with KEMA KEUR, ENEC, CE and UL/CSA approvals, including KEMA certificate 96 2307 and UL file number E320377. Time-lag fuses are required: 1.25 A 5 x 20 mm IEC127 high I²t for 115 V mains and 0.63 A 5 x 20 mm IEC127 high I²t for 230 V mains, with additional protection required for each secondary.
