The Amplimo 7N1587 is designed for valve amplifiers that require multiple secondary voltages from a single robust toroidal transformer. It provides 2x 360 V at 700 mA for the high-voltage supply, 6.3 V at 9 A for heater supply, and 50 V at 100 mA for auxiliary circuitry. All output voltages are specified under full ohmic load, with 12% regulation.

With primary connections for 110 V, 120 V, 220 V, 230 V and 240 V mains operation, the 7N1587 is suitable for a wide range of mains environments. The transformer operates at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, making it practical for international audio builds and service projects involving high-quality audio components.

The 7N1587 carries KEMA KEUR, ENEC, CE and UL/CSA approvals, with KEMA certificate 96 2307 and UL file number E320377. Time-lag fuses are required: 3.15 A for 110 V mains with two 2.5 Ω NTC resistors in series, 2.5 A for 120 V mains with two 2.5 Ω NTC resistors in series, and 1.6 A for 220 V, 230 V and 240 V mains. Each secondary winding also requires additional protection, and unused wires must always be insulated.
