The REDCATT CX8F140F combines an 8.0" LF section and integrated HF section in one compact coaxial woofer. With 94 dB sensitivity, 8 Ohm impedance, and program power ratings of 300 W for the LF section and 60 W for the HF section, it is built for efficient output in professional loudspeaker designs.

The LF section uses a REDCATT-developed paper pulp cone, while the HF section is built around an integrated symmetrical aluminum horn. This coaxial layout supports good off-axis frequency response, making the driver suitable for applications where even coverage and compact driver placement are important, including PA column and ceiling speaker projects.

REDCATT’s hybrid ferrite-neodymium magnetic circuit is designed to deliver strong magnetic performance in a small form factor. The magnetic structure is optimized to reduce flux modulation, while an aluminum demodulation ring in the HF section contributes to stable performance. The driver also features a steel basket, CCAW winding wire, a glass fiber/Kapton former, Nomex spider, and a fabric/PEN surround.

For enclosure design, the CX8F140F can be used in sealed alignments from 3.41 to 24.55 liters, with 9.95 liters at Qtc 0.85 recommended for PA and installed sound. Secondary vented options include 12, 18, or 25 liter cabinets with a 75 mm port, tuned respectively to 70 Hz, 60 Hz, or 52 Hz. In compact setups, the mid-woofer benefits from active subwoofer support below approximately 120 Hz.
