The REDCATT 35FRX8 is a compact full-range woofer developed for efficient, space-saving speaker systems. Its ferrite motor and paper cone deliver a balanced combination of output, bandwidth and cost-efficiency, making it suitable for 1-way designs, 2-way systems and compact column speakers.

With extended frequency response and BL symmetry, the 35FRX8 is engineered to cover a wide operating range from a small format driver. The 25.4 mm CCAW high-temperature voice coil is wound directly on a Kapton former for stable power handling, while the Nomex spider and NBR surround support reliable mechanical performance.

This driver is intended primarily for sealed speakers. REDCATT recommends 3.4 liters for a maximally flat Butterworth alignment with a system resonance of approximately 148 Hz, or 1.4 liters for a more compact, punchy character with a system resonance of approximately 172 Hz. A design using a passive radiator can also be used to extend low-frequency performance further.

The 35FRX8 uses a steel basket and has four mounting holes, an 85.5 mm baffle cutout, 49 mm mounting depth and a net weight of 0.57 kg. Its 8 ohm impedance, 40 W continuous power rating and 88.59 dB sensitivity make it a practical choice among compact woofers for portable products, ceiling arrays and custom audio builds.
