The Dayton Audio WP40XTB is a versatile indoor and outdoor speaker designed for clear, balanced sound in compact installations. Its 2-way design combines a 4.0" graphite cone woofer with rubber surround and a 0.75" silk dome tweeter, supported by a passive radiator that extends the low-frequency response down to 80 Hz.
For installation flexibility, the WP40XTB supports pendant, surface, and landscape mounting. The included hardware allows suspended mounting with the eyebolt and safety cable, wall or ceiling positioning with the adjustable ball joint mount, or in-ground placement using the landscape stake. This makes it suitable for patios, gardens, commercial venues, and other outdoor speakers applications where placement options matter.
The built-in transformer makes the WP40XTB ready for distributed audio systems, with 70V taps at 1.25, 2.5, 5, and 10 watts, plus 100V taps at 2.5, 5, 10, and 20 watts. An 8 ohm bypass is also available for use with standard amplifiers, giving installers a practical choice between commercial constant-voltage systems and conventional low-impedance setups.
The durable ABS enclosure is IP66 rated for weather resistance and finished in black for a clean, discreet appearance. With 84 dB sensitivity, 20 watts RMS power handling, 99 dB maximum SPL, and 120° coverage, the WP40XTB delivers dependable sound coverage from a compact 235 x 147.8 mm enclosure weighing 2.11 kg.
