In fact, the D280-Ti competes with drivers costing up to three times as much! The 1" exit and 1-3/8"-18 TPI threading makes this the perfect upgrade horn driver for many popular professional audio speaker cabinets, and the linear frequency response from 1,300 to 20,000 Hz allows it to be used in high output home audio and car audio systems.
The pure titanium diaphragm is attached to a 1-3/4" diameter copper voice coil with Kapton® former for the lowest possible moving mass without sacrificing power handling. This allows for an amazing 109 dB of output with only 1 watt of input power (2.83V), when measured at one meter, for use in even the loudest of environments!
