The REDCATT 121NPM is built as a professional bass-mid woofer for high-output systems that need efficiency, control and reduced weight. With a sensitivity of 99.97 dB and a rated impedance of 8 ohms, it is well suited for powerful loudspeaker designs where acoustic output per watt matters.
A lightweight carbon-fiber-loaded paper cone, fabric surround and Nomex spider give the driver a strong moving assembly with controlled excursion behaviour. The 76 mm CCAW voice coil uses a glass-fiber former, while the aluminum basket provides a robust mechanical foundation for demanding woofers and mid-bass applications.
The neodymium outside-ring magnetic circuit is engineered to maintain a consistent magnetic flux gap, minimize flux modulation and support low harmonic distortion. This makes the 121NPM a practical choice for vented PA bass cabinets, weight-critical installations and systems where clean, efficient mid-bass output is required.
For bass reflex use, REDCATT recommends alignments such as 70 liters tuned to 47 Hz for strong mid-bass output, 85 liters tuned to 41 Hz for a balanced general-purpose response, or 90 liters tuned to 38 Hz for extended low-frequency performance with high-pass filter protection. The driver can also be applied in vented PA bass cabinet or subwoofer designs when the enclosure and filtering are matched to the application.
