The Amplimo 78012 is built around a toroidal transformer design with a 300 VA power rating. Its primary winding is intended for 230 V AC mains operation at 50/60 Hz, while the two secondary windings deliver 12 V AC at 12.5 A each. This makes it a strong transformer choice for low-voltage AC stages in suitable power supplies.
The dual secondary layout gives you wiring flexibility. The two 12 V outputs can be connected in series to double the secondary voltage, or in parallel to double the available secondary current. The transformer has 5% regulation, helping maintain predictable voltage behaviour under load.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the included mounting materials: one Ã90 mm metal washer, two Ã90 mm neoprene washers, and an M5 x 70 mm bolt with nut. All leads are solid and approximately 200 mm long. With a diameter of 121 mm and a height of 56 mm, the 78012 fits neatly into many electromechanics layouts where a robust toroidal mains transformer is required.
The 78012 carries KEMA KEUR and ENEC approvals under certificate 2159403.01, as well as UL/CSA approvals under UL file number E320377. It is also CE marked and RoHS compliant. Use a time-lag primary fuse of 1.6 A, 5 x 20 mm, IEC127, with a high I²t value; no secondary fuse is specified.
