The Sure Electronics AA-AB32495 AAM8 is a compact high-power amplifier module built around a dual-channel Class-D design. It operates from a 32 to 48 VDC power supply and delivers up to 2 x 300 W output power, making it suitable for demanding DIY and professional audio applications where efficient power delivery is required.
For flexible system integration, the AAM8 supports both single-ended and differential analog inputs. Only one input method may be used at a time, and differential operation requires the DET pin to be shorted to CH2 with a shorting cap on the single-ended input connector. The module also includes an external control port with FAULT, RESET, POWER_EN, and GND pins for system monitoring and control.
Performance is focused on clean, stable output. At 48 VDC into 4 ohms, the module reaches 86% efficiency at 2 x 300 W output, with a typical signal-to-noise ratio of 116.9 dB in single-ended mode and 117.6 dB in differential mode. Total harmonic distortion is very low at 2 x 1 W, with typical values of 0.004% for single-ended input and 0.003% for differential input.
The board uses Mini-Fit 3.0 connectors for speaker outputs and power input, plus PH-2mm connectors for input and control functions. As with high-power amplifiers and other audio components, correct power supply selection, wiring, and polarity are essential. The module must not be bridged into single-channel mode, and 4-cell lead-acid or lithium battery operation is not supported because a fully charged pack may trigger overvoltage protection.
