The SMSL AD18 features NFC and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless connectivity but also sports your favorite wired inputs: AUX, 3.5mm coaxial, optical and USB. Now, the 3.5mm coaxial connector has a special trick up its sleeve: it also doubles as a subwoofer output. If you connect a regular 3.5mm to RCA cable, the left channel becomes the coaxial input and the right channel becomes your subwoofer output.
The SMSL AD18 uses a DAC which features zero phase shift, a strong anti-inference ability using the CS8422 digital receiving chip. The signal then goes into to the TAS5508C chip for digital sound processing and pre-amplification, which then sends it to the highly efficient (90%) TAS5342A chip, boosting the output up to 80 watts per channel.
