The REDCATT 180FCD is designed as a high-frequency compression driver for demanding professional audio builds. With its 8 ohm impedance, 109.5 dB sensitivity and high SPL capability, it is well suited for larger 2-way speakers and other systems where strong, efficient HF output is required.

At the core of the 180FCD is a robust ferrite motor with a high-BL magnetic circuit. The diaphragm assembly uses a single-piece polymer construction with the suspension integrated into the dome, while the 1.75" voice coil is bonded using precise adhesive processes to support reliable power handling.

Acoustic output is routed through a circumferential phase plug and a 1.0-inch throat aperture, making the driver a practical choice for use with suitable horns and waveguides. This makes it a strong HF component for 2-way PA tops, portable column PA systems and commercial install systems.
