The Amplimo 1N242 is designed for valve amplifier power supply sections where a compact toroidal transformer is required. Its primary windings can be connected in series for 230 V mains operation or in parallel for 115 V operation, making it suitable for different mains configurations when installed correctly.

The transformer provides two secondary outputs: 230 V at 60 mA and 6.3 V at 2.5 A. This makes it a practical component for tube amplifier projects that need a high-voltage secondary alongside a 6.3 V heater supply. Within an amplifier build, it fits naturally alongside amplifier accessories and related power supplies components.

With a 70 mm diameter, 34 mm height and 0.44 kg weight without mounting materials, the 1N242 offers a compact installation footprint. All leads are solid and approximately 200 mm long, giving you practical connection length for internal wiring in an amplifier chassis or other suitable enclosure.
